Australian Sailing is encouraging clubs to utilise the Australian Sports Commission's (ASC) free online platform, Game Plan, to review club operations, identify areas for improvement and build capability for the future.
The Australian Government is providing $35.3 million over two grant funding rounds to help local sports clubs take climate action. The Game On Program grants are to assist community sports clubs upgrade their facilities to be more climate resilient and energy efficient.
Hobart’s River Derwent provided shifting and at times testing conditions for the fleet in the 2026 SB20 Tasmanian Schools Championship. Sixty sailors and 15 boats were on the water for the inaugural championship which was won by The Friends’ School (Red) on Mind Games.
With the deregistration of Yachting TAS in 2020, the Australian Sailing board established a TAS Regional Advisory Committee to take its place. This Regional Advisory Committee is a committee of Australian Sailing and is elected by TAS clubs.
