Anti-Doping for Medical Personnel

Published Tue 29 Mar 2022

An online course is available for medical personnel to help them understand anti-doping. The course,
titled ‘Medical Practitioner’s Course’ is designed for all the types of medical practitioners working with or consulting to athletes and sports in Australia, including sailing.

The course will help participants understand the mandatory minimum standards for sports science and sports medicine. Staff and contractors engaged to deliver services in these areas to individuals and organisations involved in sailing will learn about Therapeutic Use Exemptions, asthma and other medications, supplements, testing processes and the World Anti-Doping Code.

To participate in the course, register on Sport Integrity Australia’s e-learning system and peruse their catalogue of courses. Medical personnel will come off the course much better informed about why the Improper Use of Drugs and Medicines Policy matters.

The Medical Practitioner’s Course is here.
An online induction about the National Integrity Framework and its policies can be done here.
