Your pathway doesn't have to be linear. You can choose the course that best matches your current experience and goals.

Why learn to windsurf?

Windsurfing is an ideal way to learn and develop your connection with the water.

It's responsive, exciting and gives you a direct connection with the wind, water and board. You'll learn by doing — developing balance, control and decision-making every time you get on the water.

Windsurfing can be enjoyed recreationally, socially or competitively, with opportunities to continue at your local club, join a fleet, or progress into instructing others.

Learn with Australian Sailing

Australian Sailing Windsurfing courses are delivered by qualified Australian Sailing Windsurfing Instructors and Assistant Instructors at accredited Discover Sailing Centres.

Our instructors are trained to create safe, supportive and engaging learning environments, helping participants develop both practical windsurfing skills and the knowledge to enjoy the sport.

Keep windsurfing

Completing a course is only the beginning.

Once you've developed your skills, there are plenty of ways to keep windsurfing — from joining your local sailing club and sailing socially, through to becoming an instructor yourself.

Your next adventure starts on the water.
