Victorian Regional Manager Update - Covid and Grants

Published Fri 19 Nov 2021

Covid-19 Restrictions Update

This morning we woke up with significantly eased covid safe settings and now are operating under Phase D of the roadmap.

Fundamental changes to the sport are:

  • All capacity restrictions, density limits and caps have been removed.
  • There are no limits on private and public gatherings.
  • Masks are no longer required.

Vaccination requirements don’t apply to people involved in community sport.  Community sport refers to competitions and training for competition overseen by a state sporting association or equivalent governing body. This includes entry-level programs (for example, tackers, learn to sail) and volunteers assisting with the sport.

Please note that during the sanctioned training sessions/games, unvaccinated participants are permitted to access toilet facilities within pavilions. However, once the ‘community sport’ session has ended, access to pavilions is only permitted to those who are fully vaccinated (i.e. the pavilion is opened for hospitality/social purposes).

All Clubs must ensure that their Covidsafe plans are up-to-date and QR Codes are displayed and accessible with all attendees required to CHECK-IN using the Service Victoria App.
