Club in Focus: Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC)

Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC) has been sailing Sydney’s Parramatta River between Putney and Rhodes since 1945 with the 2021 / 2021 season marking its 75th season! The CRSC culture is one of comradery on and off the water, focused on enjoying sailing with friendly competition. The club has several families who sail on a regular basis have three generations sailing in the one race.

World Championship sailors support bushfire effort

The proximity of the upcoming 49er, 49erFX and Nacra 17 Oceania and World Championships course area to some of the bushfires currently burning in the southern Australian state of Victoria has stirred the international sailing community to action. Smoke haze from fires in East Gippsland and the state’s north-east have impacted Geelong’s air quality and competitors are all too aware of the devastating fallout from fires now Australia-wide.

End of Year Report (Q4)

As the financial year closes, we look back at the participation that has occurred over the last 12 months. It’s been a very big year, with a pleasing 8% increase across our Discover Sailing accredited training programs, which include Keelboat & Dinghy Experiences, Tackers Introductions, Little Tackers and Learn to Sail and Powerboat courses.
