AusPlay Survey: Sailing & Other Olympic Sports

AusPlay commenced in October 2015 and is the largest and most comprehensive survey of its kind ever conducted in Australia. Each year, 20,000 adults aged 15+ complete the survey. Apart from providing information about their own participation, parents/guardians of children under the age of 15 are asked about organised physical activities undertaken by one of their children outside of school hours.

Australian Sailing Q3 - Quarterly Report:

The third quarterly report for the year brings us closer to the end of the season. Pleasingly membership numbers across the country seem to be holding steady and we continue to work with Clubs to ensure the data in their revSPORT portals is accurate. Our aim is to continue to decrease the ‘Unpaid or Not Categorised’ people within the system, to ensure that we have the most accurate figures.

Easing of restrictions for all of Queensland

On Thursday 15 April 2021, the Premier made an announcement regarding the easing of restrictions in Queensland following the recent COVID-19 outbreak. Queensland’s COVID Safe Future outlines the current restrictions for Queensland that will reconnect our communities, bring Queenslanders outdoors and keep our economy moving. This is great news for Queensland, as we see a number of restrictions, impacting the sport and recreation industry, ease.

Lex Bertrand Receives Significant Contribution Award

On Saturday 1st May Lex Bertrand was awarded the inaugural Chelsea Yacht Club Significant Award for his lifetime contribution to sailing at both a national and international level as well as his significant contribution to Chelsea Yacht Club through excellence and innovation. This prestigious award recognises a number of combined criteria that encompass significant contributions to the club and the sport of sailing.

2020/21 Sail CQ Challenge Successful First Year!

The Sail CQ Club challenge was created to foster good relations between clubs in the region and to help with participation at already established events. The top 6 boats in four Divisions earned points for themselves and their club when they competed in any of the signature events.

Heavy hitters heading to Airlie Beach Race Week
