Sandy Bay Sailing Club (SBSC) is a volunteer junior club situated on the picturesque Derwent River in Hobart, Tasmania. Formed on 1 March 1948, SBSC has grown to accommodate a wide range of dinghy classes including International Optimist, International Cadet, Lasers, 29ers, Waszp’s and Windsurfer fleets.

Club in Focus: Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC)

Concord & Ryde Sailing Club (CRSC) has been sailing Sydney’s Parramatta River between Putney and Rhodes since 1945 with the 2021 / 2021 season marking its 75th season! The CRSC culture is one of comradery on and off the water, focused on enjoying sailing with friendly competition. The club has several families who sail on a regular basis have three generations sailing in the one race.

Located on the shores of one of Australia’s largest freshwater lakes, Lake Hume, Albury Wodonga Yacht Club (AWYC) is a sailing club that offers competitive and social sailing opportunities. AWYC is a true cross border club with members from both NSW and Victoria; the club has demonstrated great resilience over the past year managing the challenges of COVID and launching a host of new social activities to reconnect and reinvigorate the club.

Club in Focus: Darwin Sailing Club (DSC)

Darwin Sailing Club boasts spectacular sunsets, stunning warm weather year round, close proximity to quality cruising ground with Indonesia only 2 days sail away! Racing is conducted in the Dry Season (April-Oct) when the Harbour is free from stingers, crocs and cyclones. Darwin Harbour is 5 x bigger than Sydney Harbour, has 8m tides, a sandbar in the middle (a great picnic spot) and is a commercial shipping port making some interesting racing when Harbour Courses are scheduled.

CLUB IN FOCUS: YMCA Canberra Sailing Club (YMCASC)

YMCA Canberra Sailing Club (YMCASC) is a family orientated sailing club situated on Yarralumla Bay, Lake Burley Griffin in the ACT. The club runs races for off-the-beach dinghies, catamarans and trailable yachts as well as sailing courses for children and adults. First established in 1963, club activities initially centered on Lake George until the filling of Lake Burley Griffin in 1964.

CLUB IN FOCUS: Largs Bay Sailing Club (LBSC)

Largs Bay Sailing Club is located on the foreshore at Largs Bay, approximately 200m to the north of the Largs Bay jetty on Lady Gowrie Drive at Largs Bay. Largs Bay is a north western beach-side suburb of Adelaide approximately 20 km from the city centre. LBSC was founded in 1926 and has over 90 years tradition as a family oriented sailing club.
