As we continue to celebrate National Volunteer Week 2020 we have a few more special volunteer stories to showcase. As published this week by Sport Australia; every year, 2.3 million people volunteer in sport and physical activity in Australia – making it the nation’s largest volunteer sector.

Rule 46 change update

With sailing clubs around Australia focused on attempting to restart operations as COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift, Australian Sailing has made the decision to delay the implementation of the change to Rule 46 until 1 January 2022.

2020 Flying Fifteen Australian Championship

A fleet of 20 Flying Fifteens made the long journey from all over Australia to compete at the 2020 Flying Fifteen Australian Championship held in Waterloo Bay just south of the Brisbane River in Queensland. Some competitors had a long journey navigating around a host of bush fires still plaguing the country. Visitors came from as far as England, Darwin, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
