Safety & Sea Survival Instructor
Safety & Sea Survival Instructors
Safety and Sea Survival (SSS) Instructors play a vital role in equipping sailors with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to respond to emergencies at sea. This is a significant responsibility, requiring a high standard of technical expertise, sound judgement and a strong commitment to safety.
| Safety and Sea Survival Instructors operate within a specialised area of instructing. As such, this stream is managed separately from other instructor pathways. |
Australian Sailing maintains clear standards for SSS Instructors to ensure training is delivered consistently, effectively and in line with current safety practices. Maintaining these standards helps ensure participants are prepared to manage challenging situations where their actions can have life-saving consequences.
