The Simba Trophy Honour Board
The Simba Trophy
Introduced in 1996, The Simba Trophy recognised Youth competitors who were not involved in international classes or event. From 2004 to 2010 it was awarded to the Youth Sailor of the Year, and from 2011 it was awarded to the Junior Sailor of the Year. Athletes must have performed outstandingly in a sailing event(s) or other activity that commenced within the nomination period. The athletes are assessed by class of field, consistency of performance and their broader contribution to the sport of sailing.
