Victorian Youth Sailors Shine at 2025 Victorian Sport Awards

On Wednesday 13th May, the Victorian Sporting Community came together at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to recognise and celebrate the achievements in Victorian Sport and Active Recreation during the 2025 calendar year.
Australian Sailing wants to congratulate Henri and Miles Levenspiel on being named Young Team of the Year.
At only 16, Henri and Miles consistently performed at the highest level against the nation’s leading 29er sailors in 2025. They claimed 1st Junior at the Australian 9er National Championships, securing selection to the Australian Sailing Youth Squad and represented Australia at the 29er World Championships in Portugal. They were crowned Victorian 29er State Champions and Victorian Youth Champions, won Sail Melbourne, and finished 2nd at the NSW Youth Championships which was a Youth Sailing World Championship selection event. Henri and Miles consistently performed at the highest level against the nation’s leading 29er sailors.
With more than 300 nominations received, a panel of 35 experienced members of the Victorian sporting community selected the finalists and winners.
Congratulations to those from our sailing community that were also recognised as finalists.

- Leah Keh (Victorian International Optimist Dinghy Association) – Outstanding Media Coverage of Sport Award
- Mark Bulka (McCrae Yacht Club) – Frank Wilkes Award
- Davey’s Bay Yacht Club – Love the Game Community Sporting Club of the Year
