The Paralympics Australia Multi-Sport Come and Try day was held on Sunday 3 October at the Bendat Basketball Centre where participants got to experience and gather knowledge on 15 different sports.

Graham White, Lou Chambers, Colin Harrison, Kylie Fort, Caron Jander and Chris Lloyd, were present representing Sailability and Australian Sailing. Over 50 participants flowed in throughout the day onto the basketball courts, taking advantage of all the sports on offer with participants being given a bingo card to encourage them to try it all. Promotional videos, flyers, hats, and a chance to sit in a Hansa 303 were on offer at the Sailability stand.

Overall, it was great success for Sailability with at least 10 participants registering to participate in a Come and Try session on the waters of the Swan River.

Paralympics Australia and Victoria University are hosting a one-hour workshop aimed at supporting community sport organisations to embed sustainable inclusive practices and programs into the Organisation to better support people with disabilities.
There are two sessions to choose from, Thursday 21 October 6:30pm – 7:30pm and Thursday 28 October 6:30 – 7:30pm at WAIS. This workshop will provide insights, strategies, and resources to assist community organisations to encourage people with disabilities to be involved.
