Healthway is proud to partner with Australian Sailing WA to promote sun protection through SunSmart.
This partnership will increase the awareness and understanding of the SunSmart health message among all involved in our events, particularly young people. Participants and volunteers will be encouraged to adopt SunSmart behavioural changes, leading to good health and operate within a healthy environment.

Discover Sailing Experiences at the 2019 Perth International Boat Show

Children and adults will be offered the opportunity to try Tackers sailing, keelboat sailing or powerboating for FREE in Elizabeth Quay.

Westsail Performance and Participation Program Presented by SunSmart
28 September – 1 October 2019
Westsail is a four-day training program that has influenced the lives of thousands of Western Australian sailors in its 30+ year history.

Westsail is open to all junior and youth sailors in metro and regional WA. This year the program will incorporate both performance and participation streams, meaning that everyone can register and we expect over 100 boats on the beach.

SunSmart WA Youth Championships
2 and 3 October 2019
As WA’s premier youth event, it is great to have SunSmart on board as the naming sponsor of the WA Youth Championships, immediately following Westsail.

Remember, when the UV is three or above be SunSmart.
WA has amongst the highest skin cancer rates in Australia. Skin cancers are mostly caused by over-exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. WA also experiences high to extreme UV levels from much of the year.
The higher the UV the greater your chances of getting sunburnt, skin damage and skin cancer. So when the UV is 3 or above, cover up, be SunSmart.
