Below are some Frequently Asked Questions regarding our e-learning Courses and the Australian Sailing Learning Centre.

Australian Sailing Learning Centre Modernisation
The new LMS integrates Australian Sailing training content with the Australian Sports Commission Learning Centre. This provides a seamless experience by directly linking courses to your Australian Sailing Profile. Learners will have one centralised platform for Australian Sailing, Australian Sports Commission and Sport Integrity Australia courses.
Incomplete courses in the old LMS were to be completed by Thursday 20th February 2025 11.59pm (AEDT).Communication was sent to all learners with incomplete courses ahead of the old LMS closing to enable the learner time to complete courses. Any courses not completed need to be restarted in the new system.
Yes, all course completions are recognised and displayed in your Australian Sailing Profile. Some courses may appear under a new name, which will also be reflected on your profile.
Note that you may have duplicated accreditations or course completions on your profile for a short period as Australian Sailing complete the Learning Centre transition.
Yes, if you selected 'Sailing' when setting up your ASC account, your course completions will appear in your Australian Sailing Profile.
Your Australian Sailing Profile provides access to the new Learning Centre. You don't need to create another account.

No, your Australian Sailing Profile provides access to the new Learning Centre.
Use the Australian Sailing course finder and select the course that is right for you. Find available coursesby selecting the Find courses button.
Australian Sailing Online Courses, Modules, Progression and Certificate
Once logged into your account, there are two ways to find an online course and register:
Option #1 - Feature Boxes on the Home Screen:
- Select a category from one of the three features boxes: Coaches & Instructors, Race Officials, or Club & Class Management.
- Browse the available courses within the chosen category, select the course you’re interested in, and enrol.
Option #2 - Find Learning Menu:
- Click on the Find Learning heading in the top menu.
- Use the search bar or apply filters such as learning type or tags (you can select multiple tags to refine your search) to locate your desired course.
We recommend using Option 1 for a more streamlined experience.
Learning modules will have several sections for you to work through until completion. Modules do not have to be taken in one sitting; you can start/stop at any time and begin where you left off, and there is a progress tracker so you can see if you have missed any activities. Once you start a module, you can save, exit and return to it at any time.Certificates of Completion are issued when all modulesare completed.
Once logged in to your Learning account, select the Record of Learning heading at the top of the page. This will take you to the courses tab, where you can view all courses you’ve enrolled in, whether they are in progress, complete, or not attempted. You can also use the filters feature to narrow your search if looking for a particular course.
Once logged into your account, there are two ways to find and download a certificate from a completed course. You can choose whichever method you prefer:
Option #1 - My Certificates:
- On the home page, select the certificate you wish to find from the My Certificates list on the left.
- This will take you to the View Certificate page, where you can download your certificate.
Option #2 - Record of Learning:
- Click on the Record of Learning heading at the top of the page.
- Stay on the Courses tab and find the course you’ve completed (the completion status should be 100%).
- Open the course homepage and select the Certificate tile. This will take you to the View Certificate page, where you can download your certificate.
Additionally, you can access certificates for any completed course via your Australian Sailing Profile at any time by logging into your account.
We recommend using Option 1 for a quicker and more straightforward process.
Not necessarily. Completing online learning is one part of the process. Accreditation may also require additional training, assessments, or meeting other accreditation requirements.
