Finalists Announced for the 2022 Queensland Sailing Awards

We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 2022 Queensland Sailing Awards.  Nominations have come from clubs big and small and from all across Queensland. They include Australian Sailing Team members, volunteers who put in incredible hours to help their club, professionals who are working for our sport and the promoters who use technology and new platforms to make sure we hear about sailing.

Q4 Participation report

Australian Sailing's Q4 participation report is out. Congratulations to all centres on their program delivery this quarter and the centres leading the way. Notably this quarter there’s been a good increase in people attaining Instructor, Coach and Officiating qualifications, we wish the workforce well in their roles in supporting new sailors and club members in the season ahead.

It’s a Wrap! – South Queensland Instructor Conference 2022

This year’s SQ Instructor Conference was nothing like we all expected. The last Instructor Conference was held in 2019 prior to the Covid -19 outbreak, so we have had a gentle start back. However, the weather this year has been a significant influence in Queensland, with record levels of rainfall, which was why we were extremely pleased that we had 25-30 attendees.
