YOUTH Sail QLD conducted at the Keppel Bay Sailing Club in Yeppoon from the 20^th to 25^th September is expected to be another great event on the 2021 Junior and Youth Sailing Calendar.

The first 3 days are a coaching clinic headed by QAS Head Coach Shane Smith and supported by some of Queensland’s top coaches.  The following three days are putting what you’ve learned into practice for racing. Entries open 1^st July. 

The Notice of Race for the Queensland Youth Championships has just been released!  Entries open 1^st July 2021.

We hope all clubs in Queensland will be promoting this event to their junior and youth members.  You can download a poster for you to put up in your club or post on your club social media.  All classes are eligible to enter and skippers and crew must be under the age of 23 to participate. 

This is the best youth regatta in Queensland and last year we had a record number of over 150 entries.  We are hoping to top that milestone this year. 

The Queensland Optimist, Sabot and Open Skiff State Championships are being held in conjunction with Youth Sail Queensland this year so we are expecting big fleets in these three classes.

If your juniors or youth club members have not yet been to a regatta before, the Green Fleet program over the six days, with a team of young friendly coaches, will see huge improvements, new friendships made and a love for sailing that will last a lifetime.
