Couta boats are coming home in February

The traditional wooden fishing boat fleet will be returning to Queenscliff in big numbers over the weekend of 25/26 February for the Couta Boat National Titles. It relives the history of racing for rewards but this time it’s for trophies and not a commercial fish catch.

EOI For Community Boating Facility at Harpley Lake

Victorian 2022 - 23 ILCA Laser championships

Fifty four boats sailed in the 2022/2023 Victorian ILCA Laser Open and Youth Championships from Mordialloc Sailing Club on Port Phillip on the weekend of 3 and 4 December. The five scheduled races were sailed in light to moderate winds and flat seas which was a change from the tough conditions in Melbourne on preceding weekends.

Victorians return for another Festival of Sails

Bruce Taylor is what one would describe as one of the backbones of the Festival of Sails, having competed in every single one since 1979 - and he will be there again when the start gun fires on Port Phillip to send the fleet on its way in the 180th edition of the Passage Race, starting at 9.30am on Australia Day, 26 January 2023.
