Sail Melbourne - Five things you need to know

Published Tue 25 Nov 2025

Sail Melbourne, organised by Royal Brighton Yacht Club on behalf of Australian Sailing, is one of Australia’s most celebrated sailing regattas. It’s set to return to Port Phillip, Victoria this week from 27 to 30 November 2025. Bringing together Olympic contenders, para sailors, and club-level competitors, the event is always a highlight of the Australian sailing calendar.

As the leading Olympic and Invited Classes Regatta, Sail Melbourne is one of the largest annual ‘Off the Beach’ regattas in the Southern Hemisphere, playing a pivotal role in offering competitive racing for high performance athletes and developing junior and youth sailors by giving them the chance to compete alongside some of the world’s best.

Before the boats launch on Thursday, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know about the regatta.
