Notice of Special General Meeting and Annual General Meeting

Published Fri 21 Jan 2022

In August last year, YVIC provided an update on its proposal to deregister Yachting Victoria as an incorporated Association and become a Regional Advisory Committee of Australian Sailing.

Since this time, further work has been done to progress this plan and we are now formally bringing this to the Member Clubs for a vote, which is required to be done at a Special General Meeting (SGM).

Due to various covid related constraints we have not been able to hold the YVIC Annual General Meeting (AGM) and this will now be held following the SGM outlined above.

Regardless of the outcome of the vote at the SGM, YVIC is required to continue as a going concern, until such time as confirmation of cancellation of YVIC’s registration as an incorporated association is confirmed. Therefore, we are still required to hold an AGM and call for nominations for office bearers as usual.

Both meetings will be held at the Boatshed on 21st February at 6.00pm. Attendance can either in person, online or via a proxy. Meeting registration: https://www.sailing.org.au/events/127823/
