In 2026 the J/70 Cup Australia will comprise of five events.  The series results will be decided by competitors best results in four of the five events, using a low points scoring system. Competitors may elect to discard their worst event score or only sail in four of the five events.

The results of the series will be used by the Class Association to make nominations for the J/70 World Championship in Annapolis, MD, United States October 2027.
