SAWKR is for women skippers and crews only. It aims to build women’s participation, skills and pathways into sailing, and to build our leadership, competition, and camaraderie.

SAWKR is one of the largest keelboat regattas on the South Australian sailing calendar and a unique addition to the growing national women’s sailing calendar. Joining us from across Australia, our competitors, visitors, and wonderful volunteers make this a vibrant and inclusive event.

We’re pumped to have Lou Hutton back as SAWKR’s Principal Race Officer. Based with the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, Lou brings extensive national experience to our event. Three divisions will race out of Gulf St Vincent and the Port River.

SAWKR is hosted by the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA), with assistance from our partners the Port Adelaide Sailing Club (PASC) and the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron (RSAYS). SAWKR is made possible by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Community Events Grant, and our growing band of sponsors and supporters.
