COVID Safety Plan for School Team Sailing

With the current SA Government COVID-19 restrictions, and recommendations from the Office of Recreation and Sport, we have made the following changes to the way we will manage the events.

For Trial 3 we will be allowing one parent per child to attend the event. It will be up to school team managers to police this and to remind all attendees to sign in using the venue’s QR code. As not all students may have a phone with them, can team managers please collect a list of students’ names, emails and phone numbers for the club.

• Team Managers and Coaches to ensure sailors use the supplied hand sanitiser directly before and after getting in and out of boats.

• Lunch to be brought from home, or pre-ordered from the Club on the online form available before each event.

• All attendees to follow the limit on numbers of people allowed in the change rooms and other areas of the clubhouse.

• Physical distancing rules to be followed on shore at all times.

• Only Team Managers and Coaches to attend the morning briefing.

• All participants to stay in their own school’s area, not mingle with other schools.

• Pacer Fleet owners - Must ensure that boats are fully cleaned prior to and at the end of the day.

• All participants will be reminded not to attend if they have any symptoms or are unwell.

• COVID Marshalls will be on duty to ensure that the above COVIDsafe practices are followed by all.

Team Entry Fees – This season the per team/per race day fee will be $160 for the Trial and Metro Champs days.
