Course Overview

Experienced Sailing Coaches will learn how to deliver a Sailing Coach Course whilst working alongside a current Senior Sailing Coach. Candidates will be expected to teach a number of classroom and on-water sessions whilst providing Saiing Coach candidates with appropriate feedback, both written and verbal. This course incorporates continuous assessment.

Course Prerequisites

• Be a qualified Sailing Coach with a minimum of 2 years coaching a variety of classes.
• Availability to run Sailing Coach training courses and Sailing Coach reaccreditation assessments is a must, so you need to be able to commit to being available to run such activities. 
• A recommendation from an Australian Sailing Club Services Officer is desirable.
• Complete online Privacy Training Course for Presenters.

Who should do this course?

Experienced Sailing Coaches with exceptionally high personal standards, a passion for teaching/training and the desire to develop others in the Coach role.

Course Outcome

Successful candidates will be qualified to deliver Sailing Coach Courses at the request of Australian Sailing. 

Pending your success, you will gain the Senior Sailing Coach appointment certificate.
