Wing Pre-Nationals Camp Expression of Interest (EOI)

Australian Sailing will be hosting a Pre Nationals wing racing camp prior to the wing foil nationals at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) this December. The camp will be run by Australian Sailing Performance Pathways coach (QAS) Mitch Pearson from Dec 6-8 with support from RQYS foiling coaches. 

Australian Sailing is looking for expressions of interests to attend the camp, which is open to all wing foilers who have entered the formula, open or youth class/es at the nationals. The camp will focus on fine tuning racing skills as well as getting to grips with the wing class rabbit start used in the marathon qualification races.

Wing categorisation 

In a major step forward for the wing foiling pathway in Australia, Australian Sailing has the intention of categorising wing foilers for 2027 up to the 'Developing' level of categorisation, subject to confirmation of wing foiling selection into the Brisbane 2032 Olympics (to be confirmed at the World Sailing executive committee meeting this November).
