Please join us for an Australian Sailing Volunteers' Forum, an event open to anyone working to facilitate our sport.
The topic of the first Forum for 2026 is to catch up and discuss the 2026 Championship period.
Discussion items include:
- General topics - issues encountered?
- Protests, redress, measurement and general competitor topics
- NoR and SIs - any learnings to implement?
- Learnings from any issues or topics
- Safety
- Volunteer retention
This event is open to anyone supporting sailing events, including, but not limited to:
- Race Officers
- Start/finish boat personnel
- Mark layers
- Safety Boat operators/crew
- Jury members
- Protest Committee members
- Umpires
- Measurers
- Equipment Auditors
- Media/commentators
- Administrators
This event will take place at Perth Dinghy Sailing Club on Tuesday 3 March, from 1800 until approximately 2000. A cash bar will be available, and some food will be supplied at the conclusion of the formalities.
The purpose of this event is to educate, provide networking and mentoring opportunities, identify pathways to qualification and develop a support network.
An online attendance option will be facilitated, for those in regional locations or unable to attend in person. The link to join online, will be circulated prior to the Forum.
