Scanned copy of the photo ID page of your valid passport, showing full name, passport number, and expiry date (as detailed in Clause 7.1(a) of the Selection Guidelines).

• World Sailing Residency Waiver Certificate (if applicable, as detailed in Clause 7.2 of the Selection Guidelines)
  • If you are not an Australian citizen but are a permanent resident, you must obtain a Residency Waiver from World Sailing before submitting your EOI.
  • To apply, email youth@sailing.org.au with a scanned copy of the photo ID page of your valid passport (must have at least six months’ validity beyond your return date).
  • Australian Sailing will submit the application to World Sailing on your behalf. Please allow up to four weeks for processing. The approval will be forwarded to you once received and kept on file for event administration.

By submitting this EOI, you are confirming that you:

✔ Have read and understand the 2025 Youth Sailing World Championships Selection Guidelines
✔ Intend to compete at one of the Selection Regattas (see Clause 8.1 of the Selection Guidelines)
✔ Acknowledge that Australian Sailing will appoint a Selection Panel to make decisions in accordance with the Selection Guidelines
✔ Acknowledge that Australian Sailing will share my name and EOI confirmation with my National Class Association. 

✔ Understand that, if selected, participation is self-funded, with an estimated cost of around AUD $10,000 per sailor. 

This estimate includes the following:

• Entry fee (boat charter, accommodation, and meals during event dates: 12–20 December 2025)
• Travel (flights and ground transport to/from Australia)
• Accommodation (for any required nights outside the event period, likely 1–2 nights)
• Meals (outside those included in the entry fee, such as during travel to/from the event)
• Team uniform
• Insurance
• Coaching costs, including coach remuneration for the duration, travel, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, entry fee, and uniform. (Coach costs will be shared equally among the selected sailors. The final amount will depend on the number of sailors and coaches attending.

After submitting your EOI, please check for your confirmation email (remember to check your junk/spam folder). If you do not receive it, contact youth@sailing.org.au to confirm your registration has been received.
