A meeting of the NSW Equipment Auditors, to discuss some changes to the details of the Special Regs and how Special Regs Auditors operate and are appointed and trained.

Intention: to get together as many of our auditors as possible before the auditing “season” starts with the intention of:

  • Updating them on the operational changes and SR amendments over the past 12 months, and as a refresher before this year’s audits kick off
  • Getting to know other auditors, especially in case of queries and need for assistance as the audits progress

Date, Time and Venue: Thursday 2nd June, from 6pm, in the upstairs bar at Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Drinks and some food will be provided

Places are limited to 80 so please RSVP.

Agenda:

  • New organisation – we are now Australian Sailing auditors, rather than club specific
  • General conduct of audits (ie “sticking to the regs”)
  • Insurance cover
  • Validity dates for SR audits
  • Tethers and snap hooks
  • Lifeline materials
  • Electronic navigation charts
  • Prescription drugs
  • Need to keep checking the regs for updates/using the latest forms from the web
  • Handling any additional club requirements
