Australian Sailing, with the support of Premier Events, has FOUR opportunities for YOU to complete your Recreational Skippers Ticket (RST) theory assessment for $70 at the 2021 Club Marine Perth International Boat Show.
Opportunities to complete a discounted practical session for $115 with one of our Australian Sailing assessors will be available after the show.
The RST is a qualification based on a set of competencies that have been adopted by all government marine safety authorities in Australia to contribute and to promote:
- the safe use of waterways.
- an awareness of boating safety.
It is the minimum qualification needed to operate a powerboat in Western Australia. The assessment of these competencies is in two sections: theory and practical.
The minimum age to obtain a RST is 14 years old. A person requires a RST if they are to be the skipper of a vessel powered by an engine of more than 6hp.
