Course Overview
The Club Umpire re-accreditation course is aimed at updating Australian Sailing members in the basics to conduct consistent and fair Teams or Match racing at a club level. This includes techniques to correctly position an Umpire vessel, consistently make fair on-water calls and lead an Umpire team at Club level.
To become re-accredited as an Australian Sailing Club Umpire you are required to:
- Be a member of an Australian Sailing affiliated club.
- Attend a Club Umpire Seminar, or,
- Supply a Letter of Endorsement from your club or class association
Currently Club Umpires may wish to reaccredit via submitting evidence of prior seminar attendance or a Letter of Endorsement from your club or class association (within the last four years). Evidence can be submitted to Australian Sailing via the Club Umpire Re-accreditation Application Form.
Registration at the top of this page allows you to enrol in an available Reaccreditation Seminar.
Course Prerequisites
Currently Qualified as an Australian Sailing Club Umpire.
If using the Re-accreditation Form you will need to have evidence of seminar attendance or a Letter of Endorsement obtained and ready to upload into the form.
Course Price
The cost of the seminar is $150.00 (The Officials polo is no longer provided).
Who should do this course?
This course is for anyone looking to reaccredit their Club Umpire qualification and continue to volunteer as an official at Club and State level events.
Course Outcome
Participants will become re-accredited as a Club Umpire; An individual capable of being a Lead Umpire at Club level, displaying boat skills (driving and positioning) and Knowledge of “the game”.
