Course Overview

The National Equipment Auditor (NEA) Scheme provides a system for educating Club Equipment Auditors (CEA) to audit boats for Category 3-7 races.

The Equipment Auditor - Club Level Re-accreditation Course is a free safety service provided to help ensure safety standards are consistently met through equipment compliance.

The Equipment Auditor - Club Level Reaccreditation Course reviews:

  • Updates to the Racing Rules of Sailing that relate to Equipment Auditing.
  • Category specific updates to the Special Regulations.
  • Where to obtain specific auditing information from the Racing Rules of Sailing and Special Regulations.

Who should do this course?

This course is for Australian Sailing qualified Club Equipment Auditors interested in continuing to assisting clubs with providing a safety service for sailing racing.

Course Outcome

The course aims to develop skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • General auditing skills - Risk Management.
  • Fundamental measuring.
  • Assessment and reporting skills.

Participants will become re-accredited as a Club Equipment Auditor; a person capable of auditing Cat 3-7 racing vessels.

All Officials accreditations may take up to 30 day to process from the time training is completed.
