Attending Face-to-face Training
Where accreditation requires face-to-face course completion ensure you are prepared to get the most out of your training.Below isimportant information and access to relevant resources.
General
- You will not gain accreditation with Australian Sailing until all pre-requisities and course components (e-learning & face-to-face learning) are completed
- Continuous assessment will take place during the course with feedback provided. If competency is not achieved, an action plan will be provided
- Upon accreditation, you will be responsible for training and assessing participants in accordance with Australian Sailing standards
Preparation
Before attending training, complete the session plans or presentations required for your course.
- Review course related resources (contained in the links below)
- Complete any required e-learning for accreditation before the face-to-face course
- Ensure you meet the accreditation requirements and skills.

What to Bring
- Completed session plans and any relevant teaching aids you require.
- Suitable clothing for on land, sailing and on powerboat. Such as wetsuit, life jacket and a warm set of clothes (spare) and waterproof jacket, etc..
- Maritime Licence (if applicable in your state)
- Pen and a notebook.
- Water, snacks and lunch (depending on location)
