Sandy Bay Sailing Club (SBSC) is a volunteer junior club situated on the picturesque Derwent River in Hobart, Tasmania. Formed on 1 March 1948, SBSC has grown to accommodate a wide range of dinghy classes including International Optimist, International Cadet, Lasers, 29ers, Waszp’s and Windsurfer fleets.

ORCV scoops Australian Sailing Victoria Awards

The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria (ORCV) has scooped the 2021 Australian Sailing Victoria Awards, being named Victorian Club of Year, receiving the Sport Promotion award, while ORCV Life member Robin Hewitt received the Lifetime Achievement award.

New mooring laws to deliver fairer system on WA waterways

The Western Australian Government's Department of Transport has released an announcement regarding new mooring laws. Reforms to the State’s boating laws will provide a fairer, more equitable system to allocate moorings in sought after areas and prevent individuals from profiting by selling a mooring.
