Airlie Beach Race Week – Final race decides winners

Sixty four boats took part in the 2020 Airlie Beach Race Week Whitsundays Festival of Sailing, hosted by Whitsunday Sailing Club (WSC), which had a difficult job on their hands between the light and fluky conditions and imposing restrictions caused by the CoronaVirus, but the club handled it with aplomb.

Blue Card Changes Keeping Kids Safe

Changes to the blue card system will affect Clubs where workers or volunteers require blue cards. From 31st August, when the new laws come in, everyone will need to have a blue card before they start work with kids.

Queensland COVID Safe Sailing – STAGE 3

From Friday 3rd July 2020 the Stage 3 requirements under the Queensland Government’s “Roadmap to easing Queensland’s restrictions - A step-down approach to COVID-19” will take effect. Australian Sailing welcomes these relaxations and thanks the Queensland Government for providing the framework.

Rule 46 change update

With sailing clubs around Australia focused on attempting to restart operations as COVID-19 restrictions begin to lift, Australian Sailing has made the decision to delay the implementation of the change to Rule 46 until 1 January 2022.
