Australian Sailing announces 2020 Instructor Conference schedule

Australian Sailing is proud to announce this year’s Annual Instructor Conferences will be presented at nine locations throughout Australia. Hosting the conferences locally provides instructors who may not have previously been able to attend the national conference the chance to update their skills and meet other instructors closer to home.

CLUB IN FOCUS: Largs Bay Sailing Club (LBSC)

Largs Bay Sailing Club is located on the foreshore at Largs Bay, approximately 200m to the north of the Largs Bay jetty on Lady Gowrie Drive at Largs Bay. Largs Bay is a north western beach-side suburb of Adelaide approximately 20 km from the city centre. LBSC was founded in 1926 and has over 90 years tradition as a family oriented sailing club.

World Sailing launch Challenge 2024

World Sailing, the world governing body of the sport, have set an ambitious challenge to the marine industry to push the boundaries of low carbon innovation for support boats at international events. Titled Challenge 2024 and announced at Monaco Yacht Club’s Solar and Energy Boat Challenge, it is closely linked to World Sailing’s Sustainability Agenda 2030 targets.
