Overview

This form is used to receive applications from organisations who are seeking Safety and Sea Survival Centre (SSSC) Accreditation. 

Applicant Requirements

  • Organisations wishing to accredit as a Safety Sea Survival Centre for the first time.

Cost

  • Safety and Sea Survival  yearly Centre accreditation fee: $735 (inclusive of GST).

Who should complete this form?

  • The Centre's Safety Sea Survival Centre principal.

This application needs to be completed in a single session with all fields requiring information. The form can't be saved therefore ensure you have the following information on hand/completed to quicken the process: 

Process

  1. Submit an application by completing the form.
  2. Abide by the Safety and Sea Survival Operating Standards and Guidelines.
  3. Agree to the Safety and Sea Survival Centre Agreement – Terms & Conditions.
  4. A review of your application will take place by our Education and Training Team. 
  5. If the Centre does not already have a portal in the Australian Sailing revolutioniseSPORT, our online data management software, a portal will be set up by Australian Sailing.
  6. The centre will be issued with an accreditation invoice (payable in 30 days).
  7. Pending the application being approved and the accreditation invoice has been paid, the Safety and Sea Survival course templates will be added to the Centre's portal.

revSPORT access

Trusted Official Declaration Prior to being given access to the revSPORT system, administrators (trusted officials must declare that they will use any system provided by Australian Sailing for the purpose to which it is intended and will not divulge access details to any other individuals or entity. Administrators agree to be bound by the intention and requirement of the Privacy Act and only use the information at their disposal for the intention that is was provided. Please note: all information provided will be subject to the Australian Sailing Privacy Policy. To gain access to revSPORT, trusted officials/administrators must acknowledge that they have read and understand the above declaration and accept its requirements and obligations.

Centre Review

As part of the Safety and Sea Survival Centre accreditation, a review of the centre may be required and will be conducted by an Australian Sailing Representative together with the Centre Principal. 

SSSC Agreement

1. I confirm I am the Centre's Principal and am authorised by the Owner to submit this application for accreditation as a Safety Sea Survival Centre. 2. In submitting this application form, I confirm I have read the Safety and Sea Survival Centre Agreement and all of its components, including the Operating Standards and Guidelines and the Safety Sea Survival Centre Agreement. -- links found in the application description -- 3. I confirm my centre's details listed in the account section of our revSPORT portal are correct and up to date including; contact information, venue location/s and organisation officials (with emails listed) especially centre principal and centre administrator (if applicable).
