2024-25 Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project
The Saltwater Veterans Sailing Project has become a uniquely impactful, purpose-driven community, delivering meaningful connection and growth for more than 1,100 participants across multiple regions. Through flagship events such as the ANZAC Commemorative Sail and an expanding network of programs, the club continues to strengthen pathways by developing skippers, instructors and coaches.
2023-24 Toronto Amateur Sailing Club
Toronto Amateur Sailing Club has proactively grown membership and participation over the past two years. The club has restructured and revitalised their sailing programs to increase member retention, with great success. The club has also hosted several off the beach boat events to attract visitors and establish themselves as a fantastic host venue for regattas and championships.
2022-23 Humpybong Yacht Club
A social club with a community focus, Humpybong Yacht Club (HYC) is one of the fastest growing Discover Sailing Centres in QLD. Over the 22-23 season they grew membership by 35%, almost doubled their number of fully qualified instructors and continued in their role as the host club for Deaf Sailing QLD. HYC also has a highly skilled management committee, strong commercial governance background and the constitution has been regularly updated to keep it current with the latest in governance practices and policies are kept in line with best practice advice from Australian Sailing.
