Overview

The re-accreditation process aims to ensure quality coaching is occurring and provides participants an opportunity to be updated with the latest resources and information. Participants will deliver a practical session and receive feedback and support.

Prerequisites

  • First-aid certificate (Apply first-aid or above)

  • Working with Children Check

  • Water confident

  • Comply with relevant State Maritime Licence requirements

  • Hold current Sailing Coach Qualification (cannot be lapsed more than 12 months)

This course is for anyone looking to reaccredit their Sailing Coach qualification and continue coaching.

Outcome

This process aims to maintain skills and knowledge in some of the following areas:

  • General coaching skills - Communication, boat set-up, etc
  • Sailing skills: Tactics, strategy, skill acquisition, etc
  • Powerboat skills, whilst coaching

Pending your success, you will gain the Sailing Coach qualification for a further 5 years.
