NSW Maritime Incident Reporting

When a marine accident occurs in connection with a vessel, the master of that vessel (and the owner of the vessel if aware of the accident) must send a report to Transport for NSW containing particulars of the accident as soon as practicable by the quickest means available.

2022 Stonehaven Cup win by Albert Sailing Club crew

The 92nd Stonehaven Cup regatta for junior sailors was sailed from Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron in January and won convincingly by the ASC Quest team from Melbourne's Albert Sailing Club. The Stonehaven Cup is the longest continuously contested junior/youth one-design dinghy event in Australian sailing, contested since 2019 in the fast growing RS Quest dinghy class.

Getting the Show Back On the Road

On 10 Feb 2022, the McGowan Government launched its $77 million Safe Transition Industry Support Package to support businesses and individuals in sectors most affected by the decision to delay the full reopening of WA’s borders. The package includes nine support programs for the international education, tourism, aviation and events sectors.

Victorian Minnow State Championships 2022

On the last weekend in February Williamstown Sailing Club hosted the 2022 Minnow Victoria state championship regatta.  After much hard work in the run-up to the event there was a real buzz around the club all weekend as the deck filled with blue sails and the club house swarmed with participants from all around the bay and lots of wonderful volunteers from WSC.
