Junior Sail Regatta at Darwin Sailing Club

The inaugural Junior Sail Regatta was held on the last weekend of school holidays. The event aims to keep Tackers kids on the water for longer, build confidence in boats, enjoy racing without pressure and a build a solid relationship with others in the same place in the sailing pathway.

Club in Focus: Darwin Sailing Club (DSC)

Darwin Sailing Club boasts spectacular sunsets, stunning warm weather year round, close proximity to quality cruising ground with Indonesia only 2 days sail away! Racing is conducted in the Dry Season (April-Oct) when the Harbour is free from stingers, crocs and cyclones. Darwin Harbour is 5 x bigger than Sydney Harbour, has 8m tides, a sandbar in the middle (a great picnic spot) and is a commercial shipping port making some interesting racing when Harbour Courses are scheduled.

End of Year Report (Q4)

As the financial year closes, we look back at the participation that has occurred over the last 12 months. It’s been a very big year, with a pleasing 8% increase across our Discover Sailing accredited training programs, which include Keelboat & Dinghy Experiences, Tackers Introductions, Little Tackers and Learn to Sail and Powerboat courses.
