New - Classic dinghy historian John Fairfax has done a fantastic job putting together the Victorian Classic Dinghy Network website.  The site contains a brief history of a range of classic dinghies which are the foundations of sailing in Victoria.  Visit:  http://victorianclassicdinghynetwork.org/   The site also contains information about the Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta and other similar events.  http://victorianclassicdinghynetwork.org/past-future-events

For those that have not seen the videos of the 2014 and 2015 Regattas they can now be watched at:   https://vimeo.com/channels/sgyc

We are working with a number of other classic and historical interest groups to make the 2017 Regatta a very colourful event.   More information will be available later in the year.

Looking forward to seeing you and your classic wooden dinghy in Inverloch.

Regards

Andrew Chapman

The Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta

The Inverloch Classic Wooden Dinghy Regatta is about displaying classic wooden sailing dinghies both on and off the water, many of which were once common but are now becoming rare.   By focusing on the beauty of the wood crafting, rigging and history of these boats it is hoped people will appreciate them more fully and participate in their restoration and conservation.  Over the Australia Day Weekend the Regatta also highlights aspects of Inverloch’s unique seaside history.
