Save the Date: Training in Focus 2026

Australian Sailing is pleased to confirm the dates and host clubs for the popular Training in Focus series of events this year. The series will kick off in the Northern Territory on Thursday 9 April at Darwin Sailing Club.

Training in Focus Live brings together Instructors, Discover Sailing Centre Principals, Training Coordinators and Centre Administrators for a practical and engaging professional development experience. Through workshops, peer learning and collaborative discussion, participants will continue to develop their practical instructing skills, share best practice and gain valuable insights to support the ongoing growth of participation at their club or centre.

Attendees will hear from industry experts, Senior Instructors, Chief Instructors and Australian Sailing staff who will share proven ideas and techniques to strengthen skills, build capacity and enhance club participation and training outcomes. Importantly, accredited Instructors who attend a Training in Focus Live event can demonstrate their ongoing instructor currency through participation in professional development, supporting their reaccreditation when it falls due.
