revSPORT: Absorbing fees adjustment

After review and consultation with revSPORT, all portals that are currently on-charging transaction fees will move to absorbing transaction fees from 1 September 2026, to allow clubs additional time to adjust to the new model.
 
Please note that these changes are due to legislative change from the Reserve Bank of Australia and all portals will transition to an “absorb” model for transaction fees. This means fees will now be built into pricing rather than shown separately at checkout. Clubs should factor this into how they set registration fees.
 
We strongly encourage clubs to make these changes now ahead of the September transition date. 
 
To support this process, a payment calculator is available within the revSPORT platform to help administrators set pricing that ensures the correct amount is settled to the club.
 
How to find the payment calculator?

For clubs that are already absorbing transaction fees, the calculator can be found in the supporting text anywhere you set a fee in revSPORT (see below)


For clubs that are still on-charging fees, you will need to log in to your revSPORT portal and add finance/fees/calculator to your portal URL to access the calculator


Do you want to switch to absorbing now?
If any portals want to make this change now, the on charging fee setting can be adjusted via FINANCE > SETTINGS 
  1. Under Accepted payment methods, scroll down to Pin Payments.
  2. Next to On-charge Pin Payments fee, click the toggle to turn it OFF.
  3. Next to On-charge revolutioniseSPORT service fee, click the toggle to turn it OFF.
  4. Scroll down, then click Save settings.
