In 2016 Australian Sailing (AS) and the State and Territory Associations (MYA’s) agreed to embark on a process to improve the national governance structure of sailing for the long term good of the whole of the sport.
Known as “One Sailing”, AS and the MYA’s committed to provide to sailing in Australia a legal, governance and management framework that optimises the prospects of the success of the sport. As a result of this, it is Australian Sailing’s responsibility to deliver all services that were previously performed by the state bodies.
In July 2020, Tasmanian clubs voted to deregister Yachting Tasmania. The AS constitution was amended to allow clubs to become voting members and clubs in Tasmania are now members of Australian Sailing.
A Regional Advisory Committee has been established to represent Tasmanian clubs, which has replaced the function previously performed by the TAS committee.
On this webpage you will find governance related documents for the Tasmanian Regional Advisory Committee. All information related to services previously provided by TAS can now be found on the Australian Sailing websites.
