Do you know a young athlete who needs help with travel costs?

Young athletes can sometimes face barriers to fulfilling their athletic potential, such as distance, cost and time constraints. During our community consultation for Activate! Queensland, athletes told us it would be helpful to receive their travel subsidies prior to travelling to competitions.

Tackers take to the water at Cairns Yacht Club

The continued expansion of the Friday afternoon junior fun sailing program at the Cairns Yacht Club has seen the first official class of Tackers take to the water. Eleven Tackers completed the course, with over half of them being female.

Brisbane To Hamilton Island Yacht Race 2019

The Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron announce that the inaugural Lendlease Brisbane to Hamilton Island Yacht Race for Super-Maxi, Multihull, Shorthanded, and Cruising Division fleets will be set sail from Moreton Bay, on Friday, 02 Aug 2019. Entries are now open to all competitors in this exciting new race on the Australian yacht-racing calendar, which will head to Hamilton Island just in time to participate in the hugely popular and much anticipated Whitsunday Race Weeks.
