New Race Officer - Scorer & Handicapper Course Now Available
Australian Sailing is pleased to announce the launch of a brand new course, Race Officer– Scorer& Handicapper, designed to teach the fundamental skills needed to score, handicap and manage ratings for sailing races.
This course is an important addition to the suite of training courses offered to volunteers and officials across the country. By covering the essentials of scoring and handicapping, it will help participants build confidence and capability in an area that is crucial to fair and enjoyable racing.
The new offering is part of Australian Sailing’s Instructor, Coach and Official Development Strategy, which focuses on making training more accessible, empowering learners to take charge in their own development and aligning education and training with the real-world roles and responsibilities they take on within the sport.
The introduction of the new Race Officer - Scorer & Handicapper course shows Australian Sailing’s commitment to providing ongoing education and development opportunities for both new and experienced officials. Adding new courses will ensure our sport continues to grow with skilled, knowledgeable people in every role.
