Game Plan - Review Your Club and Improve

Published Tue 02 Jun 2026

Australian Sailing is encouraging clubs to utilise the Australian Sports Commission's (ASC) free online platform, Game Plan, to review club operations, identify areas for improvement and build capability for the future.

The ASC is focused on improving the capability of sporting organisations and creating an effective and sustainable national sport sector. To support this, the ASC provides Game Plan, a free online platform designed to help sporting clubs of all sizes assess their current capability and support ongoing club development.

Game Plan allows clubs to gain insights into key areas of club administration, helping club leaders and volunteers assess and analyse their operations, make informed decisions and develop clear plans for the future.

Clubs complete a self-assessment of their environment, identifying their unique strengths and potential areas for improvement. The platform then provides access to a suite of tools and resources to support ongoing development.

More than 7,000 sporting clubs across 78 different sports are already using Game Plan to drive development and capability growth.

Game Plan has been developed to make the lives of sporting club volunteers and leaders easier, ensuring important club information is stored in one place. This creates a trusted record that can be maintained as clubs evolve and progress over time.
