Clean Up Australia Day 2026

Clean Up Australia Day, happening on Sunday, 1 March 2026, is the nation’s largest day of environmental action, bringing communities together to help clean up the places we love and call home. From local parks and streets to waterways and beaches, it’s a chance to make a real difference while enjoying some fresh air and community spirit.

With less than two weeks to go, sailing clubs across Australia are being encouraged to rally their members and take practical action for our waterways and local environments. Whether it’s tidying up a marina, foreshore, or local creek, every glove on deck counts.

Hosting a Clean Up is easy and rewarding, and organisers can access a range of helpful resources including How To Videos, Toolkits, and FAQs at cleanup.org.au. By registering early, clubs can ensure they receive materials in time for the big day.

Thousands of Australians already take part each year, and this is a great opportunity for sailing communities to lead environmental action locally.
