Assess your club’s progress on the National Integrity Framework

Published Wed 15 Feb 2023

Since Australian Sailing adopted the National Integrity Framework (NIF) on 31 March 2022, clubs around Australia have made fantastic progress on implementing the NIF and improving their integrity management. As we approach the first anniversary of the NIF implementation, it’s a good time to review your club’s progress and find any areas for improvement.

To help with this process, we’ve created a self-assessment tool with a series of questions you can use to prompt discussion among your club’s committee, members and participants. The questions are designed to be open-ended and thought-provoking, reflecting the way in which your club’s implementation of the NIF should be seen as a continual process, rather than a tick-box compliance exercise.

There is no need to submit your club’s response to these questions, and they will not be checked by Australian Sailing. The tool is for your club’s own use and benefit.

The National Integrity Framework Self-assessment Tool is available here.

For more information about the NIF, visit our Integrity Hub at https://sailing.org.au/integrity.

If you have any questions or need help managing the NIF, your local Club Support Officer will be happy to assist. Questions about the tool itself can be directed to Michael Arnold, National Integrity Officer, at michael.arnold@sailing.org.au or (02) 9170 6947.
