Active Kids Vouchers

The NSW Government is helping kids get active with the new Active Kids program and Australian Sailing is an approved provider. From 1^st of July 2023, parents, guardians, and carers can apply for a voucher valued up to $50 for all NSW children aged 4.5 to 18 years, who are currently enrolled in school. This voucher will be valid until 31 January 2024 and is not means tested.

If you wish to use your voucher as part of payment for your instructor course, please email jess.tames@sailing.org.au with your voucher code. 

Safetyboat Operators Course

The Safety Boat Operators certificate is requried to register for this course, we generally run a course 4 weeks prior to every coach course. You can find the upcoming coach courses here

Who should do this course?  This course is for anyone looking to develop themselves and others and are committed to providing the best learning environment for sailors to progress.  Course Outcome   The course aims to develop skills and knowledge in the following areas:   - The Art of Coaching   - Skill Acquisition   - Boat / Board Set-Up Fundamentals   - Coaching Tactics and Strategy   - Planning  Pending your success of this course and meeting all coach program requirements you will gain accreditation.

We recognise that some of our course participants are completing the Duke of Edinburgh's Internationa Award and may be using sailing and/or club membership to complete one or more sections of The Award. The learn more, click here
