Australian Sailing invites all Keelboat Instructors and DSC Principals delivering Keelboat courses to attend the Keelboat Instructor Forum - Professional Development and Networking Opportunity, presented by SunSmart.

Under the guidance of Chief Keelboat Instructor Nickie Jones and WA Senior Keelboat Instructors, the Forum will take place as follows:

 

Part A: Reaccreditation and On Water Activities

1500 to 1730 - held onboard Royal Perth Yacht Club's fleet of Elliott 7s, this session will allow a reaccreditation opportunity and the ability to develop on water skills and knowledge.

 

Part B: Forum

1800 to 2000 - Australian Sailing WA (in the grounds of Royal Perth Yacht Club) OR Online via Microsoft Teams.

In this session, information will be shared by the Chief Instructor Nickie Jones, Australian Sailing WA General Manager Lawson Dixon and AS staff.

Topics include the following:

- Overview of the Keelboat Program

- Ratios

- Resources (take home free resources on the night)

- Maintaining standards of delivery

- Understanding DSC requirements

- Case study - RPYC Discover Sailing Day

Following the presentation of information, a fun and interactive group quiz will take place. Food and drinks will also be supplied and networking opportunities provided.
